Hello, I’m Dr. Thomas Hoang, a triple board-certified neurologist and U.S. Navy veteran based in New York City. Neurotest of New York was founded out of necessity due to my own personal experience. After my grandmother was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s dementia, my mother struggled to navigate the complex healthcare system while caring for my grandmother. From understanding the diagnosis and treatment options, to multiple appointments and eventual long-term care needs, my mother felt overwhelmed. Although I am a neurologist with expertise in Alzheimer’s dementia, I was working in New York City and could not be in Florida to directly assist with advance care planning. I founded Neurotest of New York to provide resources and health advocacy services to help alleviate the stress of dealing with the health care system for all individuals and their family caregivers nationwide.
