Dr. Thomas Hoang, MD
Dr. Thomas Hoang, MD is a board-certified neurologist in New York City with 10+ years of clinical experience who joined Neurotest of New York in 2021. He holds triple board certification in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and epilepsy from the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. He is an active member of the American Academy of Neurology and American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
Dr. Hoang was raised in Los Angeles, California where he attended undergraduate training at UCLA. He attended medical school on the east coast at Drexel University College of Medicine in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Following medical school, Dr. Hoang served in the United States Navy as a medical officer, deploying to Iraq and Okinawa with his Marine battalion. After finishing his active duty service with the United States Navy, he completed his medical internship at the University of Nevada in Reno, Nevada. He went on to complete his neurology residency at the top-rated Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois. He stayed on at Rush University for additional fellowship training in the competitive clinical neurophysiology program (EMG/NCS/EEG/EP) led by internationally renowned neurologists.
In 2021, US News & World Report ranked Rush University Medical Center’s Neurology and Neurosurgery program #4 in the country.
At Neurotest of New York, Dr. Hoang provides his clinical expertise in caring for all neurological conditions and performing neurodiagnostic testing (EMG/NCS/EEG/EP) to help his patients find answers they can trust. Too often, he has seen test reports from other clinics that do not make sense. He believes in working closely with referring physicians in a collaborative manner with the goal of helping patients achieve their best life.
He is experienced with all neurological disorders. However, he is most passionate about taking care of migraine headaches, diabetic neuropathy, carpal tunnel syndrome, back and neck pain, dementia, dizziness, tremors and seizure disorders.
